ST MICHAEL’S BALLOT
The Trust received a request for an annual grant of $10,000 to St Michael’s Church, to assist with ongoing repairs and maintenance, in line with the grant voted on (and approved) for St Faith’s Church at the Trust AGM in 2024.
All current funding allocations (including Marae Tautoko grants, St Faiths Church and Tamatekapua Wharenui grants) have conditions that must be met before the grant is approved and paid each year. These conditions include the requirements to be operational and functioning, and that obligations to hapū/whānau and stakeholders are being met (i.e. compliance with Trust Deed meeting and financial reporting requirements). These same conditions would apply to St Michaels church.
If approved, this annual allocation will reduce the general pool of contestable funding each year (in line with the Tamatekapua Wharenui annual allocation).
The resolution for voting (yes or no) by the iwi is:
‘That an annual funding allocation of $10,000 for St Michael’s Church is approved’
Voting on this resolution will be by way of a physical voting ballot, actioned at the same time as the Trustee Election process at the Annual General Meeting, Saturday November 21st.
